If you contact us outside of these hours, leave a message and your call will be returned by the next business day.

We provide assistance to low-income households  struggling to pay rent, at risk of eviction, or in the midst of eviction to keep them in their homes. We can provide case management, financial assistance to cover rental arrears, and referrals to other community services and resources.

Community Resources

  • The Idaho 2-1-1 CareLine is a program of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. The line offers information about free or low-cost programs and services such as: medical assistance, food, clothing, emergency shelter and more.​ To contact 2-1-1 CareLine, visit their website at 211.idaho.gov or dial 2-1-1.

OUR RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

ADA COUNTY

In Ada County, Jesse Tree can provide rental assistance to low-income households with proof of rental arrears from their landlord or an eviction notice.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Experiencing a financial emergency causing you to be at risk of eviction.

  2. Can provide an eviction notice or proof of rental arrears (money that is owed to the landlord and should have been paid earlier).

  3. Have an income less than 30% or 80% of area median income, which Jesse Tree will calculate for you. Your level of assistance will be tailored to the support that you need.

  3. Our staff will determine if you qualify for our program, and refer you to other resources and services you may need.

MERIDIAN RESIDENTS

The Meridian program provides assistance to low-income households with proof of rental arrears from their landlord or an eviction notice.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Experiencing a financial emergency causing you to be at risk of eviction.

  2. Provide an eviction or proof of rental arrears (money that is owed to the landlord and should have been paid earlier).

  3. Have an income less than 50% of area median income, which Jesse Tree can help calculate for you.

What to do

  2. We will discuss your needs and situation.

  3. Our staff will determine if you qualify for our program, and refer you to other resources and services you may need.

CANYON COUNTY RESIDENTS

The Canyon County program provides assistance to low-income households with an eviction notice.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Experiencing a financial emergency causing you to be at risk of eviction.

  2. Can provide an eviction notice.

  3. Have an income less than 30% the area median income.

 

What to do

  1. Call the Salvation Army's Coordinated Entry System at 208-461-3733.

  2. Coordinated Entry will determine if you are eligible for the program.  If so...

  3. Our staff will contact you to discuss your needs and situation and discuss next steps.
