“If rent isn’t paid by the tenth day of the month, your landlord will come in, remove you and your belongings, and lock you out of the property. You’re not allowed to sue and must waive your right to a trial by jury. Your landlord can also press charges against you for trespassing, without an eviction notice.
If your initial reaction is that those actions sound illegal, you’d be correct. Nonetheless, these clauses were discovered in the lease of a recent Jesse Tree client.”
