“It is important to know that there are steps to take if you are unable to afford an energy bill. Households should reach out to Idaho Power and Intermountain Gas to discuss their budget and level pay respectively as well as payment plan options this winter. If minors, elderly persons, or infirm persons live in your household, electricity and gas services cannot be shut off during winter months (December, January, or February), but this information must be conveyed to the utility provider.”
Jesse Tree’s Declan North shares information with Idaho Capital Sun, calling attention to how rising energy costs impact housing stability.
