Client Story: Belle

Belle needed a major emergency surgery. There was no other treatment, there was no alternative. With her long health history, and with symptoms becoming completely unmanageable, Belle and her care team took the appropriate action and completed the surgery as quickly as possible.

In the months leading up to surgery, Belle noticed that she wasn’t able to bounce back from a long work day. This fatigue became unbearable, turning from an inconvenience to something that completely imposed itself on her work schedule. Once Belle received a three-day notice, she reached out to Jesse Tree. Since she had missed work, and would be missing more to recover from surgery, Belle needed to act fast to keep her housing.

Belle’s Jesse Tree case manager jumped into action, helping set her up with resources while working with Belle’s landlord to pay missed rental payments. Belle’s case manager connected her with tangible resources, like grocery gift cards to help get her through her housing crisis, as well as individualized budgeting to help Belle become sustainable. Today, Belle is resting following surgery, and is able to focus on her health in a stable home.
