Client Story: Evelyn

No one should be at risk of losing their housing because of a medical procedure. Evelyn was supposed to undergo a major surgery. Needing rehabilitation following the procedure, Evelyn needed to leave her job, a job that had already reduced her hours. 

Despite having complications with her healing, she was able to find a new position that would allow her to better balance her health, work, and life. The missed income during her healing put Evelyn in a difficult spot. Once she received a three day notice, she called Jesse Tree.

Evelyn was put into contact with her Jesse Tree case manager, who got to work right away with addressing her housing crisis. Evelyn’s case manager was able to pay her past due rent and help her adjust her budget to her new income going forward. Evelyn enjoys her new position and has been able to focus on her health.
