Client Story: Ryan
Balancing leaving one position with starting another is a tricky act, even with intentional planning and emergency savings. For Ryan, he planned everything out well. He had an emergency fund, he had a new position lined up, and he provided his previous employer with a two-week notice.
Ryan’s previous employer terminated him the day he gave notice, due to scheduling. Ryan was not concerned, considering that he would be starting his new job very soon. However, due to staffing and scheduling issues, Ryan was unable to begin his new position until over a month after accepting. By this point, he had spent much of his emergency fund on rent and other essentials.
Once he received his three-day notice, Ryan got in touch with Jesse Tree. He was connected with a case manager who was able to navigate Ryan’s housing crisis alongside him. Ryan’s case manager was able to provide payment for his missed rent along with grocery gift cards and community resources. Ryan has started his new job and remains stably housed.
